We had a very comfortable 5 night stay - the gite was very clean and well equipped - hand soap, tea, coffee and milk, towels and loo roll. The pool was very clean and a good size with shallow end and and deep end for jumping, the children loved it. It is shared with just 1 other gite, but we had it to ourselves most of the time.The children also loved the 2 friendly dogs, cat and feeding leftovers to the chickens and goats!It is very rural...not much around apart from cows! This makes it very peaceful. Nice towns to visit are Moncontour (10 mins), Lamballe (25 mins) and Dinan is very pretty (1 hr). Also a big beach on the coast North east of St Bruic - amazing ice cream place!The owners Gill and Michael who live next door were welcoming and happy to help with recommendations and any queries we had - but were not at all intrusive.We enjoyed our stay :-)

My family and I had a really pleasant Holiday. The boys especially loved the swimming pool and games room. The countryside is beautiful and the area wonderfully peaceful. We will return.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful rural setting with great facilities and great hosts. The cottage is well equiped with clean, comfy rooms and all you need in the kitchen, although we mainly cooked on the bbq outside each evening. The pool is warm and clean and nicely secluded. It is very rural, so if you want peace and quiet with very little traffic, apart from cows and tractors it's pefect. Gill and Martin are very welcoming and always on hand if needed, but not in any way intruding. Gill's pottery workshop is a great addition, and the animals also add to the charm of the cottage. There are a couple of little villages nearby that have all you need, with bigger towns further afield. It is a bit of a drive to the coast, but plenty of beaches to find if you want. Overall, a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Thank you Gill and Martin!

A great place for all the family. We were a group made up of 5 to 69 years old and all had a great time. The facilities and the surrounding were everything we expected but it was the owners, Gillian and Martin, who made the difference . They were incredibly helpful and welcoming and the pottery class was a massive bonus.

Lovely old stone cottage in a tranquil rural location, though still not far from shops, beaches etc. We made full use of the games barn and pool! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and we had great days out in this beautiful region. Highly recommended and we’d love to return some time.

Gillian is the perfect host. She makes sure you know all you need to know on arrival then leaves you alone. The pool is perfect and surrounded by plenty of comfortable chairs. The tables and chairs outside the cottage are brilliant as perhaps it would be too much for a family to remain inside. The playbarn has every trundle toy imaginable. It is excellent. The lanes around are safe for children to ride up and down on all the toys. Upstairs in the barn there is an amazing snooker room, with a full size snooker table. There is an enclosed area (via a secret garden) to the penned in geese, goats, hens and pigs. A great hit with our grandson. Logs are provided for the fire if needed. We used it one chilly evening. I would give 5 stars if the mattress on the double bed wasn’t so soft. It is like a bouncy castle! Of course some guests might like that. Also, as the whole place is amazingly set up for children I was surprised there weren’t stairgates fitted as there are two flights of stairs. (One gate was provided but we couldn’t manage to fit it). There is no bath, only a shower, but our grandson really enjoyed bathing in the kitchen sink. Travel cots are provided. The pottery workshop is superb. Our family took advantage of the glass jewellery making class. You need to do these activities early enough in the holiday for your pots or jewellery to go in the kiln for 24+ hours. You do have to drive to the shops but that is an adventure in itself. Gillian recommended a huge sandy beach, 30/35 minutes away, Pléneuf-Val-André. As you approach follow the signs for Val-André. It is gorgeous and so safe. A lovely selection of restaurants for lunch. Also on Fridays a really great market. Now we are back we are missing all the reasonably priced 3 course lunches everywhere. Great value for about £12 to £15 each, some include the wine and coffee! Thank you Gillian for providing such a peaceful haven. It is a real getaway. It was such a happy holiday.
