Le Traouquet in Port Leucate - One-Bedroom Apartment with Sea View

😊: The apartment was suitable for a one night stay. The location was good, being within close walking distance to many cafes and restaurants and the pretty marina. We had a pleasant view of the water from the balcony.. 😢: After paying a bond of 250€ I was told I would receive the door code to the apartment at 4pm the day of our arrival. At 4pm we were waiting at the apartment building but received no door code. I called the concierge and she said she had to check I’d paid the bond before sending the code. Duly done and we could get inside. The apartment was very poky and awkward in design. A balcony was a bonus but opening the balcony door meant the door to the bedroom was blocked. The bed took up the whole bedroom and it was necessary to sidle along the wall to get into it on one side. However, we appreciated the ceiling fan. The bathroom was dominated by a large washing machine and to get into the shower we had to manoeuvre between it and the toilet. The shower itself was very small - luckily we’re not large people but it would be a problem for someone bigger. We were instructed to wash and dry all dishes we’d used (we didn’t use any), take any rubbish to the bins, and strip the sheets from the bed when we left. All this on top of paying 47€ cleaning fee! I would not recommend staying here..
