Les Eaux Vives

😊: The view is fantastic. The location is quiet yet close to all the amenities. The patio is the best part of the property. It is perfect for al fresco meals at any time of day. There is a wonderful large parasol. There is a large communal space which is great for big groups. The jacuzzi is a nice touch and was a great way to relax at the end of an active day. You can walk in the woods directly behind the property. There is fantastic cycling in every direction. There are lots of helpful staples in the cupboards to save having to buy things when you only need a small amount. Always appreciated. Yes there are neighbours (owners) next door. This was not an issue at all just helpful to be aware. The property manager was very responsive during our stay. There were a few issues and this was taken seriously (see below).. 😢: The floor boards, doors and beds upstairs are extremely noisy. This means that you are woken up in the night if anyone gets up to use the bathroom and when the first person gets up in the morning. The downstairs floor gets very slippy when wet. We had two falls, one from the polished concrete steps and one on the tiles after using the jacuzzi and coming out of the shower. Please take care. Mattresses were not comfy but the bedding was nice. There is no house manual. To operate the oven, turn the left dial to the first setting, then the right dial to adjust the temperature. There is some information about rubbish on the wall but it is not clear what to do with food waste. there was no bin for recycling. The dishwasher did not work well and we had to rewash most things. The bin lid was broken. I am sure these can easily be fixed, just a bit annoying. The coffee machine leaks water while it is warming up. This means there is always a lot of clearing up to do. We moved to filers in the end. I wish I had packed my stovetop..
