Logement, plein centre du village de Verzy

😊: I needed a night stop on a journey to Calais, and this lovely apartment ticked all the boxes. It’s in a pretty village, with parking just up the road, easy to find and get into. The studio was clean, spacious, cool, quiet and with a perfectly equipped kitchenette and fabulous bath. Being on my own it felt really safe and welcoming, and Lucas was on hand and really helpful. I only stopped overnight but would be happy to return as the area around the village looks lovely. Excellent value for money, highly recommend..

😊: The apartment was small but had everything you needed. It was clean and in a good quite location. Parking was easy, but about 50 metres away (not really a problem). The host was Exellent and came to check on us. It was an extremely hot day, but the apartment was surprisingly cool. The bed is a pull down bed but don't let that put you off, it takes seconds to put down and was very very comfortable.The little town of Vezley was charming and very quite, there is a restaurant a couple of minutes away on foot but no where in town to buy grocery food. (Although in a car its 10 mins to a decent shop. Overall a good experience.. 😢: The sofa is a sofa bed and not very comfortable could do with something more relaxing..

😊: Verzy IS champagne, the town has one bakery, one restaurant (closed on Mondays) and a grocer's shop (only open in the morning), but it has some twenty reputed champagne houses, some of which have stores where you can buy the very best wine imaginable. So, to have a stop here on the Via Francigena, drink champagne and forget our fatigue was a wondeful experience, and we are thankful for the host to offer accomodations in such a special place.. 😢: Nothing bad really. Maybe having to move the sofa in order to lower the fold-away bed.
