😊: Fantastic apartment, perfect for the two of us. It is spacious, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Catherine who met us was very welcoming and the owners Thierry and Dominique were lovely. The shaded patio area is the perfect spot for drinks and eating, but the highlight is the lovely pool. We stayed during a heatwave so were glad of the shade of the trees on one side of the pool terrace, and the water was the perfect temperature to cool down. There is a bakery and small shop selling essentials just a couple of minutes walk away. The little restaurant in the same location wasn’t open at all during our week at the gite despite Google declaring it open! The Balzac chateau has a Brocante on a Saturday morning but sadly we didn’t get chance to go. There’s a pretty little river beach nearby which was perfect for a couple of hours enjoying the view of the mill and reading a book under the trees. We had a lovely, relaxing week at Maison Dominique and thoroughly recommend it if you want to stay in a peaceful location within easy driving distance of Angouleme and the cognac houses. 😊: They are such a lovely couple. The gite is excellent, well fitted kitchen, good bathroom and great parking. Ths gardens and the pool are exceptional. The location is very good with a bar, restaurant and boulangerie/patisserie within one minutes walk.. 😢: It was perfect.

😊: What a lovely couple the hosts were. Nothing was too much trouble. They were helpful, friendly, made us welcome and gave us lots of advice about what to see, where to go. The apartment was superb, spacious and fitted out with top quality items.....great kitchen....lovely big shower....great parking....lovely pool....perfect.. 😢: Nothing...it was wonderful....we will return.
