Maison conviviale, Monflanquin

😊: Lovely pool and lake/woodland location. The pool was immaculate and had a shallow splash pool for toddlers. Parking close by and it was a quiet and peaceful location. Free Wi-Fi Beds were comfortable, there were fans in all the rooms and shutters helped to keep everything cool. There was a powerful shower and plentiful hot water. 3 mins drive from Auchan supermarket. Kitchen was well enough equipped with fridge, kettle, hob, toaster (no oven) and coffee maker. Dishwasher was appreciated. The location was great to visit Monflanquin and Biron castle. Less than an hour from Bergerac airport. We had a lovely stay with our three children despite a few hiccups along the way and slight claustrophobia!. 😢: We struggled to collect the keys on arrival, there was a lot of panic that we would be homeless and then when we did get in, we had the incorrect amount of bedding. Some was kindly dropped to us at 11pm which was appreciated but with 3 tired children it was still annoying. The property is really very very small, silly things like the kitchen sink is so tiny and cramped it’s really hard to use! My husband practically had his head in a cupboard when he stood at the sink but it’s not a huge problem. The decor is dated and very basic but we did expect it to be so it wasn’t a surprise..
