MAISON DE CARACTÈRE PROCHE DES GORGES D ASCO

Owner was friendly and helpful. House has incredible views over the mountains and the terrace at the back was the perfect place for all our meals. The drive up to the house from Moltifao is not for the faint-hearted (we managed to burst a tyre but that was driver error rather than road surface!). Gorges de l’asco A short drive away (get there early in summer holidays and claim your own little piece of undisturbed paradise) and we went twice to Ostriconi Beach which, if you like being off the beaten track, is absolutely wonderful. Had a very happy week with our 3 kids and everyone we met was friendly and helpful.

This house is not at the location pinpoited on map. It is almost a mile vertically above the village. There is no vehicle access without 4 wheel drive.The final walking access is steep loose shale impossible to wheel a suitcase. There is no bar or restaurant in the village.The house is behind other houses so has very limited view. The house was very clean and adequate. The owner told us the fridge freezer was broken and made no attempt to repair or replace. We carried an old fridge from the cellar with broken freezebox so fridge worked continually for the week and no freezer so no fresh bread..
