Maison de charme avec Jacuzzi et Terrasse sur les toîts

This is a large house offered at a good value, but it is not in Uzes. It is in Brignon, which is 25 minutes away from Uzes, according to Google Maps. A previous reviewer had mentioned this discrepancy, but we were under the impression that the locations were not so far apart. We had a lovely stay and had every intention of leaving a good review, however the issues started after we left. The owner claimed we caused a crack in what she called a "bench" through "misuse." We honestly had no idea what she was talking about until she sent a photo of the piece of furniture. We sat on it a handful of times, but never jumped on it or used it in an inappropriate way and never noticed any damage to it at any point during our stay. She got back to us shortly thereafter and said that we had to pay over 500 Euro for a small wooden chaise. The small crack in the picture she sent could have happened at any time and would have happened through normal wear and tear over time. The chaise was not a new item, nor was it in pristine condition. Also, a quick Google search found similar pieces online for much less money (from $100-$200). We are disappointed and frustrated by the ending to our stay. We gave her the benefit of the doubt about her providing such an inaccurate location for the rental, but that combined with the unexpected charges that we apparently have no way of contesting makes us question her honesty. It's a nice house, but be careful. You might end up paying more than expected.

Logement parfait, magnifique et très fonctionnel. On croirait être comme à la maison. Très jolie décoration. La terasse sur les toits est très agréable. Bien situé pour les visites. La propriétaire Assia est très gentille et répond rapidement à vos besoins. Nous reviendrons sûrement.

Liebe Assisa, vielen Dank, dass wir zwei so schöne Wochen in deinem Haus verbringen durften. Du hast uns sehr herzlich empfangen und tolle Ausflugstipps gegeben. Wir haben uns bei dir und in Brignon sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Küche und das Haus haben eine tolle und liebevolle Ausstattung. Wir konnten Anfang Oktober am Abend noch die letzten Sonnenstunden auf der wunderbaren Dachterrasse genießen. Auch die Menschen im Ort sind super freundlich!!! Trotz unserer geringen Französischkenntnisse haben wir im netten kleinen Dorfcafé herzliche Kontakte zu einigen Dorfbewohner*innen gehabt. Nochmals ein großes Dankeschön!!! nous avons passé une semaine chez Assia, qui nous a reçu avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de nombreuses indications pour les différents lieux à visiter. Le village est calme et reposant , très appréciable au mois d'août, on se sent bien dans cette grande maison aménagée avec soin, et avec tout le confort nécessaire pour se sentir "comme à la maison" (machines à laver, cafetière , four, ustensiles de cuisson...)les deux chambres à l'étage sont grandes et bien agencées et la terrasse donnant sur les toits est un havre de paix. nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la maison d'Assia qui a été très attentionnée (et notamment quand notre chat nous avait faussé compagnie au moment du départ ;)). La maison est très agréable à vivre. Attention ! Elle est dans un village très calme à 20 minutes d'Uzès et non dans Uzès.

Wir konnten zwei Wochen erholsame und entspannende Tage im Haus von Madame Hannoun verbringen in der authentischen Umgebung eines südfranzösischen Dorfs. Die Besitzerin war sehr freundlich und konnte uns viele Tipps zu ausflügen in die nähere und weitere Umgebung geben. Angesichts der sommerlichen Temperaturen waren ihre Informationen zu wenig besuchten Badestellen am Gardon sehr hilfreich, und wir konnten uns an mehreren Badetagen am Fluss erfreuen. Besonders hat es uns auch die Nutzung der schönen Dachterrasse angetan mit dem regen Vogelflug über den benachbarten Dächern. Ein rundum gelungener und ansprechender Aufenthalt!

Brignon is an incredibly beautiful village, and a great homebase for exploring neighbouring sights and cities, including Nîmes, Uzès, Alès, and the Pont du Gard. Assia was extremely accommodating, providing us with excellent travel information and tips about local restaurants and sights that we would have otherwise missed. The house was large, spacious, and private, very clean and better stocked than most other houses we've rented. The hot tub and sunny terraces were definitely nice perks! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, laid-back place to stay while exploring Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon.
