Rich and Mel are fabulous hosts and the gite and the facilities were outstanding. We were on an initial fact find trip for a full time move next year and we couldn’t have asked for a more helpful and knowledgeable host than Mel (Rich had to go back to the UK for the week). Can’t recommend this place enough 😊

We enjoyed our 10 day stay here, whilst we house hunted in the area. Despite the weather, (it was cold and grey, which Mel said was unusual for March), we found the location of the gites really peaceful, and only a few minutes drive from a large Super U, for all your daily needs. The pool is huge, but too early in the season for us to enjoy. Mel and Richard are great hosts, and are on hand should you need anything, or to pick their brains ref moving to the area. Mel also went to great lengths to make sure my elderly father was comfortable, by switching us to a larger gite with an ensuite each. I can't really think of any negatives, although a pizza cutter, (couldn't find one), and a dishcloth to be able to wipe down the stainless steel kitchen surfaces would have been handy. Thanks both for a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Melanie's place. It was easy to get to, very spacious, warm, clean and accurate to its description. The hosts greeted us personally and made sure that we settled in well, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the large sofa and log burner, a lovely, relaxing, way to spend the time on a chilly autumn evening. We would definitely recommend this place, and look forward to returning ourselves soon.

Having rented numerous French holiday properties over the years this undoubtedly would come out as first choice The accommodation is beautifully equipped and everything one would need for the stay is there even down to numerous electric fans! The owners are the perfect hosts - there if needed but unobtrusive The swimming pool is well maintained and cleaned regularly Definitely appropriate for families or group of friends A very good supermarket is available within a two minute drive Would definitely re-visit

Chatenet was a super place to stay. We had the four bedroom house for just two of us. It was spacious, well equipped and and had everything you could need. The grounds were huge and we enjoyed walking around each evening. The pool was great for cooling off during the hot weather. We had a lovely meal prepared by Mel on our first evening. She is a great cook. Mel and Richard were brilliant hosts who were never intrusive but always available if we needed anything and gave us lots of good advice about house hunting in the area. Highly recommended!!
