😊: The location is excellent. Beautiful part of Montpellier, within walking distance of everything and some really lovely restaurants and cafes ok the square. 😢: Probably more to do with our circumstances and selection than any criticism of the apartment. We were travelling with 2 x 4 year olds for 2 months through France and stayed here for 14 nights. There is no air conditioning in the apartment which became very difficult in +35 degree July. There is no lift - which is the norm for an old city centre apartment like this. But as we were travelling for 2 months we had a lot of luggage which was a challenge getting up 3 flights of narrow stairs. And indeed the stairs were difficult to get up and down every day for our 4 year olds. The apartment is in a busy square with a number of restaurants and bars, which stay going until about 2am 7 days a week. Because the apartment is so old sound really travels through the building and makes it a difficult sleep. Again - more to do with our choice than a criticism. If we had no kids with us we’d gladly have been down there in the bar. The facilities are limited. No cooking utensils beyond some pans and cutlery for eating. We were staying for 14 nights but only 1 tea towel, 1 set of sheets and 1 set of towels were left. There are no blinds in one of the bedrooms. But overall it’s a nice apartment in a great location. Next time I’ll leave the kids at home and come back for a long weekend where I don’t need large suitcases..
