Nid douillet au cœur de Megeve

Great location, just like the photos. Highly recommend!

The property was close to everything. Easy walk to lifts. Decor was excellent.

😊: We really liked the location in the middle of high street and walking (easy) distance the the funicular. The style of the appartment was really nice and also the view. Fantastic place for 2 not very tall people. Very comfortable double bed, nice sofa, large table.. 😢: We travelled with two children and the sleeping floor was simply very warm in the morning during February (even though we switched the heating in the evening and have the windows opened as the radiators were programmed to start in the morning). We do not recommend sleeping there with current set up. The place is however very nice for 2 people. The ski room in the basement did not have boots heating and with the only key available, little management was needed. The kitchen was tiny so do not expect cooking lessons..

😊: The house is cute and it's in a great location, very central and the mattress in the bedroom is quite comfortable!. 😢: Very rude host with terrible manners. At the more technical part, we were only informed 2 days before arrival that the accommodation was on the 3rd floor without an elevator in a very steep staircase. This wasn't such a problem for us specifically but if it was we wouldn't be able to cancel at that point. There was no toilet paper and the shower was in a very abandoned state (the shampoo pump didn't work, the water temperature was set off, you couldn't get hot water, only warm). Finally the heating was set to go up at very increased temperatures in the middle of the night making it very warm unexpectedly and thus uncomfortable. Generally all these could be overcome and the stay could be great. Unfortunately there's a serious lack of care on the part of the host and this is quite visible.

😊: location is tremendous i’ve been going to Megeve for 15 years and know it very well.. 😢: The mezzanine floor has two mattresses on the floor, not beds. You can’t stand up. one of the party took to sleeping on the lounge couch. The access is very dangerous a ladder staircase with no rails. Completely unsuitable. You have to lie on your tummy on the carpet and descend backwards feeling for the steps with your feet. It has no rails to hold onto. Access up 3 flights of very steep stairs very difficult with heavy bags. It’s a compact nice apartment but it’s one bedrooms and should advertised as such.
