😊: The location was quiet and secluded, plus and the garden was lovely for our children. The open plan area was great for our two families to have dinner together.. 😢: The radiators had not been wired in all rooms apart from one bedroom so this meant that the property was very cold, so cold in fact that in the middle of the night we had to all share beds in order to keep the small children warm, the upstairs bedrooms could benefited from a stairgate at the top of the stairs too, at the access stairs were very steep..

😊: Overall a lovely stay for us which included parents and children as well as grandmas. Quiet location. Easy to park. Good privacy. Plenty of lawn. Lovely outdoor space for kids to runaround and play. Hazelnut tree next to BBQ was cool and offered hours of play for the children collecting them. Hot tub was great. Great to have spare filters in case replacement needed during your stay. Good bedding and comfortable beds. Hot water plentiful for shower and washing but can be very hot so care needed. Good kitchen area. Great to have dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Good space for preparing food. We had plenty of cleaning products supplied including laundry cleaner sheets and dishwasher tablets. We did bring our own though since this was not explicitly listed as being available. Table good size for us all. Plenty of chairs (although one chair had a loose bolt found on the floor which we fixed). WiFi was excellent though was switched off at our arrival prompting us to contact the host. Plenty of natural light which also means very good ventilation when hot. Host really responsive and friendly. Impeccable host throughout our stay. Plenty of mains sockets in all rooms. The utility room was a great addition. Great outdoor seating. Kids swing and play items were good. Nice lounge area and sofa. TV was good and easy to use. Plenty of lights both inside and outside the property. The property is a very good size and we never felt claustrophobic. It was a lovely stay and we will have fond memories of our visit to Normandy.. 😢: Access to bedrooms via tight steps and ladders should have been mentioned because this could be difficult or dangerous, especially for younger kids. The top bedrooms also have restricted space for taller guests. Curtains in the bedrooms did not fully fit the window and block the light correctly apart from in one bedroom where that one had full blackout curtains. Windows opening inwards is not ideal since children could bump into them. Some windows were difficult to open. The main patio doors also need attention since one side does not open and has a lock problem. The utility room window also needs attention. Shower water sprays all over the floor in the bathroom and we also had a leak outside via the door into the corridor once. Thankfully we had a mop which we had to use every day after showers. There really should be a door or curtain fully enclosing the shower. We seemed to struggle with having enough towels causing frequent washing. Microwave in a dangerous location. The microwave door knocks on the freezer ledge/top and items being removed from the microwave also get caught on this ledge causing hot spillages if you are not aware of this. Bathroom could do with an extractor fan but there is a good window which opens fully. Only one bathroom and toilet for 7 people is not enough causing queuing. The listing mentioned "Additional toilet" but there was only one which was a surprise. Additional seemed to indicate more than one. Cordless vacuum out of battery and no way to charge which was a shame. There was a mains vacuum though which was good this was completely full of the previous occupants dust and could do with emptying. Advert could benefit from a floor plan showing layout and honest wider angle pictures about locations of rooms. Kids swings need attention since they appear loose and noisy when in use. Netflix did stop working on the last two days which was a shame. No obvious way to recycle paper and glass for example. Perhaps two bins needed?.
