Pyreneen Vue gite with pool, renovated farmhouse tranquil with amazing views

A great welcome from Sue and Robin. The view just as spectacular as advertised. We're never sure with Vrbo listings whether 'pool'/'private pool' means just for us - this absolutely was. Beautiful walks nearby.

We had a perfect stay, chez Sue & Robin! The view from the property is amazing, the pool is clean and a great size and there are a plethora of beautiful places to visit nearby. Sue and Robin are a lovely couple who made us feel at home and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. A very relaxing holiday in a beautiful place! I guarantee we'll be back!

Beautiful location. Lovely welcome and very flexible hosts, there when we needed anything but discreet. Swimming pool super clean. Kitchen equipment was the basics needed, a few more dishes for serving would have been useful and we didn’t realise there was no washing machine.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this lovely property with a stunning view in the Ariège. The hosts, Sue and Robin, were so incredibly nice, helpful, and responsive and made our stay top notch. We had plenty of space for our family of four and the garden and pool were so peaceful and rejuvenating. The area itself is beautiful with so much to do including visiting the beautiful towns of Foix and Mirepoix, and surrounding Pyrenees mountains. We would come back and stay at this property and in this area in a heart beat!

Robin and Sue were amazing hosts….very welcoming when we got there and there if we needed them. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed a couple of meals together, putting the world to rights. They were fantastic company but also allowed us the space to enjoy our break as a family The gites were lovely, the location beautiful. Views of the Pyrenees by day and clear sky and stars by night. The pool was lovely and a welcome respite at the end of a warm day I would highly recommend Robin and Sue’s property for a lovely French break

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Floc. Both my husband and I, the children and the dog were welcomed by Robin & Sue who made us feel very comfortable and were very kind to suggest us some walks around the area. We loved eating outside whilst enjoying the amazing view. The gite itself was well-equipped with enough space for the six of us. The children as well as the dog enjoyed the spacious garden to the fullest! The large pool also offered us some refreshment during the summer heat. There is lots to do in the neighbourhood. We particularly enjoyed the Trad'estiu festival in Foix (very fun to get to know some local dances and music), strolling around the market in Mirepoix, doing lots of walks or swimming in Lac de Montbel. Highly recommend!

We have just returned from a wonderful two week holiday at Floc Ferme. We stayed in the Main Gite which was spacious and clean and was well equipped. It was a real ‘home from home’. Our children aged 10 and 7 particularly enjoyed the pool which was very refreshing on hot days and had fantastic views of the Pyrenees The hospitality was second to none. We were made to feel very welcome indeed by Robin and Sue who went out of their way to provide us with their in-depth knowledge of the area which certainly helped us to decide on things to do. They were even kind enough to look after our dog when we went on the cable car and chair lifts at Ax les Thermes. The accommodation is set in a tranquil setting but is in easy reach of local shops and villages, with a variety of lakes with water sports facilities and outdoor pursuits within 20-30 minutes drive. The area has so much to offer for those who enjoy exploring and outdoor pursuits. We feel that in our two week holiday we hardly scratched the surface, however this just gives us a reason to go back again! We particularly enjoyed the local town of Mirepoix on market day, the historic city of Carcassonne and the ski resort of Ax Les Thermes. There are plenty of lakes in the area which offer a variety of water sports. The largest of these, Lac Montbel was our favourite. This is an absolute jewel and we will certainly be returning again.
