It was an amazing stay...<br>#128578; Nicely designed and fully equipped apartment with the kitchen and a spectacular view of the harbor. There’s plenty of space, and it’s good for up to 6 people. The atmosphere was incredibly charming and neighborhood was exceptionally friendly. There are several nice beaches in the walking distance, even in the beginning of April it was comfortable to swim.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay for a month with sunshine and temperatures mild enough for daily walking, as I was recovering from knee replacement surgery in December. Toulon, France, was the perfect choice -- sunshine almost every day and temps in the 50's and 60's, which for us is perfect walking weather. The apartment in La Corvette (name of the building) with views over the harbor on one side and the city/mountains on the other was also amazing. Located on the 14th floor in one of 4 high rises overlooking the harbor, it is exactly as pictured in the vrbo website -- modern, very clean, with up-to-date bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with an expresso machine for coffee lovers. The only thing missing was a bread knife (so we used steak knives), and you definitely want to eat bread while in France! All vrbo listings tell you if the bathroom has a shower or tub, but what they don't tell you is how well the shower works. This shower is an A+! The rainfall shower head has good pressure, but the hand-held shower head has even better water pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen contains a washer/dryer combo appliance which worked well. We loved the location of this apartment. Sunshine sparkling on water, with gorgeous sunsets and sunrises were the norm. Lots of naval activity to watch - they were gathering for a naval exercise while we were there. Close to necessities, all on Blvd Bazeilles: pharmacy, small grocery store, Carrefour City, and La Flambée, a great pizza/Italian restaurant. Walk a few blocks further to Rue Lamalgue and turn south toward the beaches you will find some unique shops and a few additional restaurants. On many days we walked from the apartment along Av. de l'Enfanterie de Marine toward the city center (I was counting steps, so a trip there and back to the apartment, for me, was in the neighborhood of 7,000 steps; when we explored further into the city center, I hit closer to 10,000 steps). There is a huge open air market in the plaza where the Tourist Info Center is located, held almost every day. Along the Quai de la Sinse are many restaurants with patio seating overlooking the harbor. We especially enjoyed seafood and lamb dishes at La Lampa, the desserts at Crêperie du Port (BEST crepes ever) and the ice cream sundaes at Le Navigateur a bit further down the quai. SO many good bakeries (boulangeries) from which to choose! Highly recommend this apartment.

Très beau séjour, bel appartement avec une très belle vue, la propreté... rien à dire , on se sentait très bien.
