Sleep in Montpellier, Molly, centre, gare, 2 ch, Tram St-Denis

😊: The owner gave me a 50% refund because I had to leave the property following a security incident - it was too dangerous to stay in the flat. See below.. 😢: Towards midnight on the fourth night of our stay some men knocked at the door of the property increasingly aggressively. We were terrified. The apartment is on the ground floor, with the entrance door opening directly onto the street. We kept silent, and eventually the men went away, but we spent the rest of the night in fear they would return. Next morning we left the flat as quickly as possible and found alternative accommodation in the city. This was a very frightening experience, and I would not recommend anyone to stay in this property. I have to add that the flat itself is unsatisfactory in two other ways: it claims to have two bedrooms but the second 'room' is just a mezzanine floor in which the ceiling is so low that it is impossible to stand upright - you have to stay bent double the whole time so it was impossible to use this 'room'. Secondly, there are no clothes storage facilities in the flat - no drawers, no wardrobe, just four pegs on the wall near the front door..

😊: It was in a good location. Would’ve been ok for the two nights if we didn’t have the problems (listed in next box).. 😢: Unfortunately a number of things at the property weren’t up to the standard we were expecting and added together we couldn’t let them pass. - the place smelled like sewage, particularly in the room with the shower - the area was very noisy, both street noise and people above - the television turned on at 1am while we were all asleep at full volume - the door to the bedroom with shower didn’t open/close so no privacy when having a shower.

😊: Location, near to the train station. Staff is friendly. Cleaner for the property is great. Nice little apartment.. 😢: Little bit noisy for the air conditioner but was okay to me. Apart from it, perfect..

😢: The AC system was extremely noisy and not very reliable with the settings. The upper bed was too hot for a single fan to handle. There is no fire extinguisher available and the exit, in case of emergency, may be easily blocked..
