😊: The host was very helpful and responded quickly online. The shower looked nice, and there were a number of small details showing that some thought had gone into making it a nicer place to stay. 😢: The cockroaches were the thing that finished me off - I'm not good with insects. It was a basement studio with no windows, and one of the lights was flickering - tbf that might just have started, and potentially the host would have fixed it if I'd given them the chance. However, as a lone female intending to travel back to the property alone late at night after a concert the following night, and not knowing the area, I didn't feel very safe to do so (and then, cockroaches). Although the inner door was obviously secure, the external door to the property looked like it (and the lockbox beside it) had been vandalised at some point, and the property was on a tiny little back street in a rundown area, with very few shops. Probably absolutely fine for a couple of robust lads to stay in - just not for me.
