Très Jolie Maison avec Grande Terrasse au centre de Concarneau

very pleasant house to live in as a family

Only two of us so only used middle floor. We have 38 years experience renting in France (VRBO and others)Positives:Warm and welcome when we collected the keys.Property very well located for access to port and town. Modern kitchen, comfortable lounge / diner with TV and wifi.Comfortable bedroom with hanging space and chest of drawers.Nice table, chairs, umbrella on lower terrace.Negatives: Ample parking space in front of house but drive unusable as lavender bush one side impeded gate opening. Not problem for us but not as described.Scruffy outside presentation - weeds and moss on steps which needed a good sweep (did this before we left). Also tall weeds growing round “well”.Extra cost of linen and towels didn't include tea towels. On arrival we had to make up bed (only the second time in 38 years renting - maybe we’ve been lucky).Before packing clothes in chest of drawers I had to clean them - detritus in the bottom and mould spots at the back - not best start to holiday!Shower head and support incompatible. Fiddly to adjust and difficult to keep in place. Fell on wife!Shower room sink slow to drain and getting worse by end of our stay.We found paved terrace a bit stark. Could be made more attractive?Upper terrace overgrown with weeds.Small patio area other side of kitchen - plastic furniture in very poor condition. Nothing terrible but more attention to detail might give better experience. Feedback to agents received well.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la grande terrasse ensoleillée , l'équipement de qualité en particulier dans la cuisine et la proximité du port et de la ville .

Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr schön im Grünen, zu Fuß ist man schnell im Ort. Auch die großen Supermärkte sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Im Haus war alles vorhanden. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss und im OG sind sehr schön. Das Schlafzimmer im UG ist durch die Garage oder den Keller zu erreichen. Die Agentur war sehr hilfsbereit.

The house is in a nice area, close to the town and excellent local shops. We enjoyed several very picturesque walks straight from the door and it was also well placed to explore the area by car. The photos show the interior well, the kitchen was very well equipped and the heating worked well - important in April. Cathy was very friendly, helpful and speaks excellent english. Overall, an excellent stay.

Maison agréable pour un séjour locatif, pas de problème pour garer voiture, chauffage performant, bon rapport qualité/prix, agence ayant le sens de l'accueil. Nous reviendrons.
