Appartement Saint-Malo 800m de la plage - Duplex Apartment

😊: Clean and roomy. Kitchen well equipped Good to meet the owner to have everything explained. 😢: Shower could do with some modernizing.

😊: place was ideal close to beech near a nice pastry shop called madella, had good facilities had fans in rooms when it can be really warm. 😢: Concierge was not ideal, read reviews saying they had to plan there day to meet concierge and I understand what they were saying, I rang in the morning, saying can I come at 2 and the person said it was to early to ring and to ring an hour before arriving, they rang around half 1 saying where we are and shouted on the phone saying we said 2 and they had more places to manage and its not a hotel!! It was a bad start to arriving in saint malo, and we had to rush to the place after they rang, it would be better if there was a lock box with the key in, they also didn't mention that we had to Meet them when we leave, bc if there was an emergency where we needed to Leave, would we leave the keys? but apart from the concierge everything was great.

😊: Easy parking. 😢: Terrible organisation. Inefficient, incompetent and arrogant "concierge service". They tell you what time you have to check in and out and you have to adapt your holiday to their timetable. To add insult to injury, one hour before arrival I was told that the original check in time, announced one week in advance, no longer suited the "concierge" and he then proceeded to give me a new time which suited him! Bed was not made up and I was offered sheets to do it myself because the "concierge" does not do housekeeping. At the end of the stay, you are expected to strip the linen off the beds and take out the trash. The apartment is hugely overpriced for what you get, probably to cover the costs of the completely useless "concierge". Save yourself a lot of frustration (and money)... Avoid this accommodation at all costs!.

The neighbours down the road were noisy having party playing loud music, but that is out of your control. The only one thing that upset me was having to travel to a location to secure the keys on our departure. If a key box was located outside the property where the keys could be secure this would of been preferable. We almost missed our boat as there were deviations on route. Parking was sometimes an issue also.
