Gite de Charme close to the Châteaux de la Loire and Beauval Zoo

We stayed at Lodge Park for one month and found it to be an excellent location from which to explore the Loire/Cher area. The home combines traditional and contemporary design in a very unique way and is unusually well equipped, even for an extended stay. One caution, however, is that the picture of the exterior that is on the website somewhat misrepresents the space on the ground floor. In the picture both barn doors are open giving the impression that the entire ground level is available to be occupied by the renter and that the interior space will be flooded with light. In fact, the door on the left is closed and locked and behind it fully one-third of the ground floor is taken up with an owners storage area and, since there are no windows on the west side, the kitchen area is quite dark particularly in the afternoon and evening. With this one suggestion that the picture on the website be updated to reflect the actual circumstances we would not hesitate to stay at Lodge park again.

Property has been modernised with all mod cons. In a lovely location next to a local park with lakes and a small stream next to the property. We had brought our bicycles and this is excellent cycling country with relatively easy rides on signed routes. Ample space in the property and a nice area to eat outside and private. We were met by a friend of the owner on our arrival and the owner met with us on departure day. Both very friendly and helpful. The weather was very hot during our stay. We found the downstairs area very cool and a nice refuge from the heat. Would recommend to others.

We stayed for four nights and everything was as described. The check in was smooth, everything worked perfectly and the lodge was well located for visiting the region's many chateaux. Probably not ideal for toddlers as the staircase is a bit tricky and there is a stream at the edge of the garden - but it was fine for us. The village is small, quiet and has a lovely park with a playground, tennis court, and lake. All good!

This is a beautiful property in a peaceful setting. The property has been converted sympathetically and with great style. The owner was helpful, friendly and could not have done more to make our stay special. Having the beds made up on arrival was a huge relief after a long journey and the bottle of wine in the fridge a treat! We never wanted to leave!

Not only is the house that Celine and Fabrice have renovated very sensibly absolutely wonderful, but the complete setting - the views from the terrace, the park, the village and the nice atmosphere all around- guarantee a perfect holiday! We stayed for 2 weeks with our 3 Kids *aged 5, 8 and 10 and everyone loved it. The house is perfectly equipped and located in the center of a region that offers so much activities for every taste and age that we cannot wait to be back!
