😊: The location is spectacular. Exactly on a lake overlooked by the hosts property and a small cabin on the opposite bank. All are spread so far apart you feel like you have the lake to yourself - and there is a small boat and jetty! I bet the water lillies that dominant the far half of the lake look spectacular in bloom. Access is via a gravel road but no issues. The property has all the appliances you need for a self-catered stay, but it is a drive (or cycle ride in my case) to the shops. Lots of the Chinon vinyards in the immediate area, so guaranteed beautiful countryside and views when you leave the property, but beautiful views of the lake if you stay at the property and use the barbecue or simply relax on the wicker seats by the lake. The pool was very close and although we had it to ourselves, I think it is a communal facility with table tennis table (equipment at the property). Also good wifi - i.e. absolutely no complaints from 15 and 17 years olds who like to do screen and we used our firestick to watch films in the evening but i think they have satellite tv whcih we didn't use.. 😢: Careful with directions - there is another "moulin girault" with the same postcode. Also we were sent down the wrong track (to the opposite side of the lake) but the host was there to redirect us. Difficult to find anything wrong because we knew what we were getting, but we were bothered by wasps in the pool (which was odd) but we made it an excuse to splash eachother "i was aiming for the wasps" etc. We were warned about horseflies but never saw/ got bitten by any. Defintely need a car to get there, but a great base for cycling in the region. No mobile reception in the immediate area but good wifi..
