La Terrasse - Appartement 4pers Caen Hypercentre - One-Bedroom Apartment

Great rental, clean and spacious, and good location to everything, shops, restaurants. A longer walk from train station than told...seniors may want to taxi or bus to from train station.Very disappointed though after 2 days of travel to Caen, with airport lineups delays, then a 2 hr. train ride from Charles Degaulle airport, we were very tired exhausted, hot, had no time to eat on the way, arrived here looked forward to freshening up a cup of coffee in the morning. There was no shower soap, not even liquid soap to wash our hands! No coffee pods to get us started. With the late check-in time, we were not able to shop for these things..shops were closed plus it was a holiday, so nothing open until the next morning . This was frustrating to have not even basic necessities provided. Also beware the Wifi codes given at check-in time were wrong..not even close to correct proper wifi codes are still not on VRBO website...so either the fault if the owner or VRBO but were never updated to correct ones. Had this same problem at next VRBO rental 4 days later..wrong code passwords given for apt. AND unless u have wifi data on your phone to use, it's impossible to reach anyone without Wifi.

The apartment was a bit quirky set in a very old building but well appointed and the roof terrace was a lovely place to unwind and watch the world go by. The location of the apartment was excellent, close to the chateau (3 min walk), lovely selection of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. This can be a bit noisey in the evenings, so not a place if you want peace and quiet. Shops and the quay 5 to 10 minute walk away. There is no parking outside of the property, but the Chateau under ground car park was convenient and open 24hours. We paid €18 for up to 24 hours. Would definitely recommend for a bustling city break

Je recommande vraiment cet appartement. Il est très propre, très bien situé, avec une terrasse avec vue sur le quartier du Vaugueux.

The property was wonderful for my family. We enjoyed the rooftop patio. The location was within walking distance of the castle and many restaurants.
