Le Calochan - One-Bedroom Apartment

😊: Nothing. 😢: The studio apartment had no rugs or carpets and the tiled floor was dirty. The main room had a TV and strange box on the wall at shoulder height 30 cm from the bed settee. My partner bumped into the box twice in the night hurting her shoulder ( she is 80). The next day one of the door locks malfunctioned and we spent the rest of the day in my camper. In the evening the owner paid my money back by telling booking . Com. Then he demanded the money in cask plus a large sum to pay the locksmiths call out fee. He then threatened me with police / legal action if I did not return the key. One of his other regular tenants let us in the apartment and then returned as the owners representative and demanded the money. He was a big fellow so we left immediately. The next day we went to the local police and told them what had happened and theft the key with the police for him to retrieve. The local french police were very sympathetic and told us not to pay the owner a penny and to block the owner from contacting us. I only rented the apartment while I and my wife were antifouling my yacht in a boatyard not far away. My partner was helping me scrape off the growth untill she badly bruised her right shoulder on that stupidly position TV and wall box. I had to pay for 2 extra days in the cradle doing the work because of renting this apartment with the worn out top lock. Also there was a wall socket above the worktop that had both earth pins broken off in the socket. All in all a bad experience and I am going to see if my travel insurance covers such places . We only needed the apartment to sleep and shower..

😊: Property is close to the seaside. Property has free secure parking.. 😢: Leaving the property was a little difficult. there is no WiFi..

😊: A really good welcome and departure experience from the hosts who both speak English and are super friendly. It's a functional little flat with a balcony and super clean bathroom. Everything works really well. All the cooking equipment is new and clean plus there is a washing machine The bed is really comfortable. The flat is next to the beach 🏖️ and the local town has all you need plus some great places to eat. I would definitely go there again.. 😢: Nothing..

Close to beach, well furnished,...<br>#128578; Close to beach. Just around corner. Friendly host. Well furnished kitchen. Clean. Terrace and grill and patio table. Washing machine and drying rack. Stove, microwave, refrigerator and lots of dishes and tools. Separate area has bunk beds so if had kids would have area for them. Shower was best we have had. Roomy and lots of hot water. Parking in locked area.<br>#128577; Wasn't a fan of folding up bed every night to have room and a couch but it worked and was efficient.

Wir kommen wieder<br>#128578; Abgeschlossener Parkbereich.Nur mit einem Sicherheitsschlüssel kommt man aufs Gelände. Das Apartment ist sehr gemütlich und neu renoviert. Kleiner Balkon zum grillen.Auch für Raucher gut geeignet. Die Lage ist für Mensch und Tier perfekt zum spazierengehen am Strand. Hunde kosten keine extra Gebühr.
