Studio calme côté cour - centre Caen - tram

😊: Fairly central location on a quiet street. The apartment is nice, but overall the building is in need of updating. It appears some of the neighboring apartments may be worked on, but the communal areas are quite rough.. 😢: A seemingly never ending staircase which gives you a good workout, whether you want one or not. If you have problems with climbing stairs or are travelling with large suitcases this definitely would not be the place for you. It was very hot during our stay and the apartment had very limited air flow. Fortunately a fan was provided..

😊: Great location, good amenities. Comfy bed! And the tv was great too.. 😢: N/A.

😊: The location is excellent - close to both trains, buses and trams. The cooking facilities were useful as we are vegan and needed to self cater for our stay. The flat is excellent value for money, even with the rather dubious addition of a cleaning fee and this will be a boon for a budget traveller.. 😢: There are a lot of stairs leading up to the property and the communal area is pretty grotty. The very bright security light from the communal area stayed on all night (we messaged the owner to ask how to switch it off but got no response) and this flooded the room with light making it harder to fall asleep. There was a weird and unpleasant smell from what we think were the drains which meant that the bathroom door had to be kept closed at all times. One or two things were missing from the kitchen like tea towels to dry up with which meant that in the end we bought our own. It wasn't the cleanest place I've stayed in either with lots of gritty bits left on the floor. If these elements were attended to ( and they can be easily remedied), this would have been an outstanding stay..

😊: The location is perfect and can be most of place for sightseeing via walk. 😢: WiFi suddenly does not work and I spent 3 days there, unfortunately, the problem did not fix until I left.
