😊: * Super clean and beautifully decorated. * Amazing terrace with views of the chapel’s vitraux windows. * Stayed wonderfully cool inside despite the 36°C heatwave!! * Complimentary coffee and tea were a nice touch. * Perfect central location, within 10 minutes walk of everything. * Easy and hassle free key collection and return. * We would happily stay here again next year!. 😢: Better lights for the terrace would be great!.

😊: Central location. Very convenient, easy walking distance to the walled city too.. 😢: No reply from host when asking if we could check in early. 5pm check in is very late. Finding the key is tricky but made for a fun adventure. Read the description carefully.

😊: Location is nice. But there were significant issues with our stay.. 😢: (An update: the staff and booking.com refused to acknowledge this safety issue, so have caution dealing with these hosts.) The host did not respond to questions on booking.com, leading to whatsapp conversation, and they were not helpful with normal tourist questions about bag storage in Carcassone. There was no dish soap to clean the dishes in the kitchen. The instructions to get the keys led to a random second property and is overly, and unnecessarily, complicated. This would be challenging in the evening. And then, when returning to the property at 9pm (fortunately not later), the external door was locked and we were not given a key for it. Fortunately the host responded to whatsapp (although their instructions were not very clear), but this could have been a significant issue if it was later in the evening. Additionally, we had to use a different dark, unwelcoming entrance at night to resolve this issue. The shower, kitchen and living room were not clean enough to feel comfortable. Access to terrace through the bedroom door is very difficult, we gave up trying to open that door..
