Caen au fil de l'eau

😊: The house is a charming little townhouse. It is close to the city centre, allowing shopping by walk. The house was cleaned and had all the necessities inside. The little roof top terrace was lovely. The owners were very nice and made everything simple.. 😢: There is more maintenance work and upgrades needed to make the place really good. Amongst problems there were broken door handles, shelves. The garden would need some work to be even more enjoyable. Some of the beds were a bit basic in terms of comfort. The property seems to be recent on the market, so I hope it will get better and better as time goes with rentals..

😊: A hidden gem of a property with lots of space and plenty of original features in the house. Clean and comfortable The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The views from the upstairs windows were great especially at the back where you could look onto the Abbey. Excellent hosts who responded to questions promptly. The location of the home was great with a local supermarket a few houses down. A short walk to the centre of Caen in one direction and a short walk to the bus and train station in the other. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.. 😢: The house would not be suitable for small children due to the structure of the stairs but ideal for older children/teenagers..
